• Leaders whom people respect and follow are those who are able to communicate effectively.  They have a dynamic presence.
• If you desire to make a difference, you will have to learn to communicate with a powerful presence.  You must be able to communicate what you want to get done in the church, in the ministry, and in life.
• The pulpit is no greater than the evangelist or pastor who fills it on a weekly basis.
• If the preacher is boring to the congregation, the people will think God is boring.
• Some ministers have style without substance while others have substance without style.
• Many souls are not saved because the sermon was never delivered to the lost.
• It is possible for the preacher to speak the message, use up a portion of time, give an altar call, and still not accomplish the intended purpose of the sermon.

This is the second of a series of articles designed to lead you to more fruitful Bible study. The article will focus on your selection of the translation to study from. It will try to explain what a "good" translation is. It will try to detail the differences between the various methods of translation. Finally it will list some of the translations available today. The list is not exhaustive, but focuses on the generally acceptable volumes being published today.

To limit the subject matter, this discussion will be limited only to English language protestant Bibles. In doing this the discussion will be simpler and limited to the essentials. Listed herein there are a listed some study books for wider study.

5. Jesus demonstrated the way of the cross before His leaders.

Suffering is a vital part of the Christian life. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, (Phil. 1:29)
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him… (2 Tim. 2:12)

…now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials [not only persecution, but “all kinds” of suffering]. These have come so that your faith…may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (1 Pet. 1:6-7)

…those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. (1 Pet. 4:19)
