Reddit!

ImageA Charleston Southern University School of Business study concludes Christians worldwide are simply becoming too busy for God. The Obstacles to Growth Survey found that globally more than 40% of Christians say they “often” or “always” rush from task to task. About 60% say it's “often” or “always” true that the busyness of life gets in the way of developing their relationship with God. While busyness afflicts both men and women, the distraction from God is more likely to afflict men. Pastors (65%) are the most likely rush from task to task and experience adverse effects in developing their relationship with God.

My comments:

This should not surprise  any Pastor or Minister of the Gospel. It reminds me of :

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. (KJV)

I will rephrase it me way. It might not be theological correct, but it speaks to me like this:

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms, material benefits and power of the world, and said to him, All these things will I give you, if you only will work day and night, are willing to sacrifice your marriage, and your friends, and stop going to the fellowship in the church with all that bible teachings, and don`t bother go to the prayer meetings.

Now it becomes a bit more personal. What the devil really are saying is: "Don`t prioritize the spiritual life." "Get yourself a nice cariare", and you will get new cars, big homes, +++.

Please don`t misunderstand me! I believe God want us to have all that, but we need  to pay attention to the word of God that say:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
