The Goal of all Church leaders and the offices they hold is the Great Commission in Mattew 28. The Great Comission is their mandate. When you use your gift, review the results Spend more time at it. Office holders and office seekers needs a level of self-awareness about their talents and abilities. You attitude in your heart is the most important factor in your life as a leader. It will cover many faults.
Great leaders genuinely care for and love the people they lead more than they love leading itself. Leadership without love degenerates into self-serving manipulation.

A system is being put into place for leadership to administer. A great leader humbly accepts advice from others. A great leader delegates responsibility. A great leader will not try to do it all himself.

If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, good! But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he's talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry. He must handle his own affairs well, attentive to his own children and having their respect. For if someone is unable to handle his own affairs, how can he take care of God's church? He must not be a new believer, lest the position go to his head and the Devil trip him up. Outsiders must think well of him, or else the Devil will figure out a way to lure him into his trap.

Repeat these basic essentials over and over to God's people. Warn them before God against pious nitpicking, which chips away at the faith. It just wears everyone out. Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won't be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple. Stay clear of pious talk that is only talk. Words are not mere words, you know. If they're not backed by a godly life, they accumulate as poison in the soul. Hymenaeus and Philetus are examples, throwing believers off stride and missing the truth by a mile by saying the resurrection is over and done with.

Whoever is a slave must make the best of it, giving respect to his master so that outsiders don't blame God and our teaching for his behavior. Slaves with Christian masters all the more so—their masters are really their beloved brothers!
These are the things I want you to teach and preach. If you have leaders there who teach otherwise, who refuse the solid words of our Master Jesus and this godly instruction, tag them for what they are: ignorant windbags who infect the air with germs of envy, controversy, bad-mouthing, suspicious rumors. Eventually there's an epidemic of backstabbing, and truth is but a distant memory. They think religion is a way to make a fast buck.

But that doesn't mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given his own gift. The text for this is,

God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.

Most attempts to define leadership can be confusing because they refer to one or more characteristics of a leader instead of the duties of the office that a leader is called to.

All leadership is streamed from Jesus. Jesus leads His church and He made you a leader for that purpose. All authority comes from Him. You have nothing to brag about.
The steriotype of leadership is found in the image of a Shepherd leading his sheep. One outstanding characteristic of a shepherd is love and patience.

Remember that leaders are office holders and the offices have names and functions.
An Elder of the church are appoint to and should be able to teach correct doctrine and refute error. the word elder suggest an level of maturity in Christ of an person.
An Overseer of the church connotes a superintendent, in general charge of a church. Overseers can be thought also as pastors, teachers, and evangelists. In any case a overseer exercises leadership from the Lord.
Pastor of the church is one of being a spiritual shepherd. A pastor contributes to the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. A pastor contributes for the building up of the body of Christ.
The office of Deacon is somewhat describe as an officer of the local church who serve through conducting the caring ministry of the church. By caring means doing the benevolence work; That is, visiting the sick, watchfulness to the spiritual needs of the congregation. Deacons take some the load of work off of the pastor.

Church leaders, in pursuit of fulfilling the office they are called to need to work with the gifts they have been given. The need here is practice. They have the gift, now they need to develop.

If you have the gift of encouragement, recognize the implication of those who are not so fortunate in life, Broaden your horizons. When you use your gift, review the results Spend more time at it. Office holders and office seekers needs a level of self-awareness about their talents and abilities.
In service to the church, the best will be given best when your gifting are being used and brought to their fullest potential. If you gift is speaking well, then speak well and often. If your gift is relational, practice it and study your failures. Is attention to detail your strong point? Then practice organization and review your result often.
Display the love you have in your heart. Your love will grow by leaps and bounds. Practice love and it will grow. You attitude in your heart is the most important factor in your life as a leader. It will cover many faults.
The consequence of conversion is a growth process, a daily growth in the love and knowledge of Christ. God is not finished with you yet. Another fact for sure is that the Christian leaders footing is rooted in God’s unchanging nature. His nature is the absolute good. God’s will is always good and right and set apart, that is Holy. This along moves it an absolute necessity for the leadership of the Church. There is nothing theoretical about the role of God in the leaders life.
