3 reasons why you need Jesus in your life

Written by

ImageOriginal author: BILLY GRAHAM

DEAR DR. GRAHAM: I have friends who say I need Jesus in order to be happy, but I'm happy the way I am. Why should I bother with God? He'd probably just make me stop some of the things I enjoy doing. -- M.T.

DEAR M.T: Although you may not have thought of it this way, I hope you'll be grateful you have friends who care about you this much. They see a side of life you don't see, and they want you to share in it.

Let me suggest three reasons why you need God. First, only Christ can give true meaning to your life. From what you say, you are living for one thing right now: to have a good time. For a while, that may seem to satisfy; the Bible says we sometimes may "enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time" (Hebrews 11:25). But don't be deceived. Eventually, you will get bored, or unable to enjoy them -- and what then? God put you here for a reason, and life's greatest joy comes from knowing His plan for our lives.

You also need Christ to help you every day. How else will you meet life's disappointments and heartaches? How else will you know which way to go when you have decisions to make? Where else will you go to find the inner strength to change your life and do what is right?

Finally, you need Christ for eternity. Someday we will all die and face God -- and you are not prepared. But God loves you, and Christ died on the cross to take away your sins. Don't turn your back on Him, but by a simple prayer of faith confess your sins and ask Him into your life. Jesus' words are true: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).

Don`t let fear take controll

Written by

The truth about fear is quite simpel. When you fear you will loose something, you will loose it. (Job 3,25 What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.)

Why not take everything you fear that you will loose, give it with a willing heart to God. Give it away.

Let God take over every belonging you got!

Do you want to know a little secret? Ok, what about this: God is the owner for ALL your belongings anyway. If you give it to Him, or not. There will be NO difference for God, because it is allready His. Leave it in His hands, and think about it again, don`t take it back. The buity for this is: When you anything you have given away to God, ask God for the permission to use it again. Respect the answer you get from your loving God The Father!

It`s like a bank. You put it in to an bank account belonging to God. When ever you realy needs it, God will give it for you to use it.

What you hang on to - you will loose. What you give away with a joyfull and willing heart, you will get back many times.

How a 'ga y rights' leader became straight

Written by

God has created us all natural as the bible sayOriginal author: Michael Glatze

Hom os ex ual ity (sorry: rewrite because of filter) came easy to me, because I was already weak.

My mom died when I was 19. My father had died when I was 13. At an early age, I was already confused about who I was and how I felt about others.

My confusion about "desire" and the fact that I noticed I was "attracted" to guys made me put myself into the "gay" category at age 14. At age 20, I came out as gay to everybody else around me.

At age 22, I became an editor of the first magazine aimed at a young, ga y male audience. It bordered on po rno graphy (rewrite because of filter) in its photographic content, but I figured I could use it as a platform to bigger and better things.

Sure enough, Young Gay America came around. It was meant to fill the void that the other magazine I'd worked for had created – namely, anything not-so-po rno graphic, aimed at the population of young, gay Americans. Young Gay America took off.

Christ in the Courtroom

Written by

This article is not a theological doctrine, but rather an illustration. I found this article at the Internet. The author is not known.(Webmaster)

Christ in the courtAfter living a "decent" life, my time on earth came to an end. The first thing I remember was sitting by the defense table in a courtroom. I noticed that the prosecutor was a villainous-looking guy who turned my way and snarled.

My lawyer was a kind-looking gent who, for some reason, looked familiar. We were all ordered to stand as in marched the judge, a man who wore flowing robes and had an awesome aura about him.

"Let us begin," the judge ordered.

The prosecutor arose and declared, "My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in Hell."He proceeded to tell of lies I told, about things I had stolen, details of me cheating. Satan spoke of other perversions that were once in my life.

The more he revealed, the further down in the chair I sank. I was so embarrassed I couldn't make eye contact with anyone.

Truths about Jesus

Written by

Jesus isTruths about Jesus that get my attention and may help my self centerness

Does anyone beside me suffer from being stuck on himself; that is think more of himself than he should. I often think that if people just do it my way….Think my way…Just be like ME.

Jesus is the cure for this thinking. Think about these truths about Him.

Another name for Jesus is "Immanuel" or "God with Us." He was call this long before he arrived physically on earth. This means that no matter what happens in this life to me, He is right there with me. He not only made me, He shared my lot. He knows what I am trying to tell Him before I try to explain to Him.

Large Church or Small

Written by

I would like to share an experience with you and I am still trying to sort out in my mind.

Some background:
I have attended church all my young life, thanks to my mother.  In fact, it was a Sunday morning on the way to church, that she went to the hospital to give birth.  I was raised in a small Baptist church in the heartland of America.  I believe I was 8 years old when I thought it was the right thing to do to answer the alter call and get baptized. I remember making the decision.  The only detail I remember was it was the right thing to do.  I cannot now remember if Jesus or his acceptance had anything to do with it.

The Price Of Pastoral Leadership

Written by
Look to Jesus as your true pastor
Look to Jesus as your true Pastor

We all know the blessings of being in pastoral ministry – the blessing of knowing that your life is spent for the gospel, using your gifts, meeting wonderful people, receiving people’s encouragement, and seeing changed lives. We can’t achieve these things, though without paying a price.
